Parents As Teachers Home Visiting Program
This free federally funded program offers support to parents who have babies 0-3 years old and live in the
boundaries of 7th Avenue to 41st Avenue, and Commercial/Clark Street to Oak Street. Once a month home visits
that emphasize literacy and are designed to increase school readiness for the children. They also do basic health screening
on the children and share information about child rearing. An excellent program recommended by one of our members.

Free Acupuncture for Addiction and Stress/Pain
Funded by the Vancouver Richmond Health Board. Mondays - Fridays, 4:45 - 6:45pm at #101 - 1292 Hornby St,
at the Three Bridges Community Health Centre. A public, clothed, ear acupuncture treatment utilizing a standard 5 needle
protocol/treatment with some additional needles. Knock on the sidewalk door (labelled '101' above), go to room on the
left and have a seat. First come, first serve. I went when it was a quiet night and did not have to wait. It's okay if you don't
have an addiction and just suffer from body pain.
